Care & Maintenance

Dedon Fiber

Wash with mild soap and water once or twice a season. No special coatings or sealants required. Use a soft brush for stubborn stains; avoid abrasive cleaners and high-pressure washers at close range.

Teak Elements

Untreated teak weathers to a silver-grey patina, structurally identical to the original honey tone. If you prefer the warm colour, apply teak oil once or twice per year. The colour shift is purely aesthetic.

Cushions & Fabrics

Solution-dyed acrylic resists UV fade and mould. Most collections have machine-washable covers. Store cushions during extended winters or use breathable covers — never seal in plastic, since trapped moisture is what destroys outdoor textiles.

Can Dedon furniture be left outside year-round?

Yes. DEDON fiber is engineered for permanent outdoor installation — it withstands UV, salt air, humidity and freeze-thaw cycles without degrading. Cushions can be left out in most climates; in heavy-snowfall or extended-rain seasons most projects bring them indoors or use breathable weather covers.

What is DEDON fiber and how does it differ from standard outdoor resin weave?

DEDON fiber is a proprietary co-extruded material — a structural core wrapped in a UV-stable, colour-fast outer layer — woven by hand in the Philippines. Unlike standard resin rattan, it holds a three-dimensional sculptural form rather than lying flat, which is what gives collections like Mbrace and Seashell their architectural silhouette.
