Via Della Seta

About Via della Seta

An Italian FF&E procurement service based in Zurich. We source furniture, lighting and accessories directly from Italian factories for residential and hospitality projects worldwide.

The story

Where the name comes from

Via della Seta means “Silk Road” in Italian — a reference to the ancient trade routes that connected cultures through the exchange of materials, skill and beauty.

Founded by Chiara Borgoli, the studio was built on one idea: that the best Italian furniture should be reachable for designers and architects everywhere, without the friction of dealing with dozens of separate factories, languages and logistics chains.

We sit at the crossing point of Swiss precision and Italian craftsmanship. Our Zurich office handles project management, contracts and timelines; our Italian network handles production, quality control and packaging. The result is a single, reliable channel from the factory floor to your site.

What we do

Three core services

FF&E Procurement

We source furniture, fixtures and equipment from Italian factories. You share a specification or moodboard; we return a consolidated quotation and handle orders, quality checks and shipping to your site.

Design Consultation

Unsure which manufacturers suit your project? We advise on materials, finishes, lead times and budget allocation, so the right decisions are made early — before they become costly changes.

Smart Home Integration

For projects that pair technology with furniture, we coordinate smart home systems — lighting control, motorised shading, audio — sourced and installed to work with the interior, not against it.

Our values

What guides our work

Direct relationships

We buy from factories, not distributors — better pricing, shorter lead times and direct access to customisation that resellers cannot offer.

Transparency

Every quotation breaks down product, finishing, packaging, shipping and duties. No hidden markups, no surprises at delivery.

Craft

We work with makers who still build by hand where it matters — upholstery, joinery, metalwork, stone. Those details define the result.

Reliability

We confirm production schedules before ordering, track progress weekly and flag delays early. Clients plan around our timelines with confidence.

“Good design is not about following trends. It is about finding pieces that belong in a space and will still feel right in twenty years.”
